For the first time in its glorious and long history, the traditional Italian brand Ducati enters into the cruiser segment. With a long and flat silhouette as well as the forward set pegs, the 156-hp XDiavel may seem classic at first. But the novel and unexpectedly agile Italien cruiser can reach lean angles of 40 degrees. That way the new Ducati is to conquer the US markets and beat Harley-Davidson not only with its own weapons, but completely new ones as well. Motorcycles tested the new XDiavel in San Diego on classic cruiser terrain.

Monster - This name has been the embodiment of a modernly designed Ducati bike for years, which promises heaps of fun in the city, looks good and offers the finest chassis technology. Or in other words: It's also good for takings bends quickly. The Ducati Monster 1200 R is the ultimate top-model of the Monster family: An output of 160 hp, a dry weight of 180 kilograms, noble materials, and enchanting sounds. It plays in the same league as dream bikes such as Triumph Speed Triple, KTM Super duke or BMW S 1000 R. You really don't have to be a Ducati fetishist in order to find this Naked Bike from Bella Italia enticing.
54. rész - MV Agusta 750S America
MV Agusta has won a vast number of world championships. When the company decided to build a serial bike with a racing look, the new model was called 750 S America, because bike dealers from the US suggested the idea first. Motorcycles borrows this legendary bike from the "Mountain Cross Point" museum and takes the 75 hp shaft drive machine with for a ride along a nearby high mountain pass.

The Honda Africa Twin is back. The austere name CRF1000L represents nothing less than the rebirth of a legend. In the 90s the versatile Honda was seen as the perfect companion for a trip around the world or through extreme terrain. Now, it not only rivals long-distance enduros from BMW and KTM, but also goes its own way with off-road capabilities. Harley-Davidson breaks new ground with the Sport Glide as well. The Sport Glide is their new all-rounder and is both a touring bike as well as a naked curiser.
